Gold Chains For Sale

Gold Chains For Sale

Yes I sell solid 9ct and 18ct gold chains. Unlike the sterling silver or fine silver jewellery I sell that come with sterling silver chains included in the price gold chains are much more expensive to include with gold pendants or lockets. A lot of people that buy gold pendant from me already have a chain they are going to use.

If however you do require a new solid gold chain for your pendant or locket I am happy to quote you on them.

This goes for any gold for any reason just let me know the style, lenght and if possible dimensions of the gold necklace or bracelet and I will be happy to help.

I like to keep to the basics when it comes to neck chains as these I have found over the years to be the best. I never recommend box chains to hold pendants or lockets are they are not designed to bend where the bail is and are prone to breaking at this point under stress.

The most important things to consider when buying a gold chain either or your neck or a bracelet are.

1. Length of chain you want

2. Weight (gold chain is sold on weight)

3. The Guage or size of the chain (think, thin, fine this effects weight naturally)

4. Carats 9ct or 18ct in Australia, the higher the Carats the more pure the gold but also remember the more pure the gold the softer it is and 18ct is therefore easier to break 9ct is the most popular carat for gold in Australia and easiest colour to match. 18ct gold is always twice the price of 9ct

5. Style of your chain, Round  Belcher, Oval Belcher, Euro Curb, Figuro etc etc the list goes on and on

6. The colour of your gold, Yellow (most common), White or Rose. White and Rose are less common so more expensive to buy

7. Is the chain solid or hollow. To save money/costs some manufactures make their chains hollow so they are lighter. This is fine I do not buy hollow chains all my chains are solid links because for the most part what hangs off them is far to important to ever have a chain break under normal weight of the pendant it holds.

♥

Once you have work out what you would like it is then sold on the weight of the gold in the chain. depending on  the supplier I use, and the colour of your gold choice, If you choose yellow 9ct gold you are going to be looking at
 $48 to $65 per gram
for solid 9ct gold chain (double this for 18ct)

NB: April 2015 prices of gold have risen due to drop in Aussie Dollar V US Dollar
Gold chains to be quotes this is a guide Gold prices change daily These prices quoted in this post offer a guide now only as prices have change a lot since first written

My three favorite chains are these and these examples are for necklace chains and you can just add Guage/width for bracelets (but therefore weight so price goes up)

Diamond cut cub chains are a simple and stunning chain for any pendant and very strong. Based on my current gold prices if you look at this a CD40 9ct solid gold necklace in 50cm is going to cost you between
 $185 and $215
depending on the gold price for the day these prices are made variable as gold price do change  daily and so do my suppliers and I do not have the time to change my blog every day but I firm quote will be emailed to you on the day of purchase

Oval belcher chains I love one round pendants like memory balls or the balls for ashes and hair. they are cheaper than round belchers as it takes less links to make the lenght you need in ovals than in circles so therefore is lighter and less expensive.
Based on my current gold prices if you look at this a BO1 9ct solid gold necklace in 50cm is going to cost you between

Below are Round Belcher chains

Round belcher chains are more expensive than oval as you need more links to get the lenght you need so therefore heavier and thus more expensive.
